Recipe:
he process to complete my final project took about 5 classes to complete. The process started out with me designing my clock base in illustrator. The clock had a diameter of 12 inches. After I was done designing my clock, I put it into the laser. The print took about 25 minutes about it turned out really nice. After I made the base, I then started making my logo in illustrator. I choose the Liverpool logo because it is my favorite soccer team. After I was done designing it, I put it into the vinyl cutter. This took a while because the words on my print were really small so it was hard to take out the excess. After I printed and put together my decal, I pressed the decal down onto the base of my clock. In the end the clock, so far, was looking really nice. The next and final step was to make the hand of the clock with the 3D printer. I started out by designing the hand in inventor. This was really easy and didn't take a lot of time. After I was done designing the hand, I put the design into the maker bot program and then into the 3D printer. The print took about 17 minutes to complete. After the hand was done, the last step was put together my clock with my hand along with the clock parts. Once that was complete, I completed my final project along with my favorite class, Idea.
Summary:
After this project along with this class, I am very confident on all the machines we have used this year, especially the laser, 3D printer, and the vinyl cutter. I can now use different machines to make different parts for one project like the clock. Now, if I'm ever in a career that needs these kind of skills, I will already have the skill set.
