The process for making my phone holder was a lot of fun but it took a lot of steps to complete. First, I started with a simple rectangle then extruded it. Then, I cut out the rectangle with a sideways line going across the rectangle. Now the fun part was cutting and engraving things based on my sketch but also coming up with cool ways to add on the the project. Once I finished making my holder I had to put the file into maker bot. Then I put the file into the lazer and waited for 7 hours for it to finished. 7 hours later it was done and ready to hold phones.
Summary:
This project I learned a lot. This time around with inventor, I now understand how it works much better. One cool thing that I learned is that you can engrave letters for initials by cutting them out. I also got much more knowledgeable on some of the other tools in inventor. Adding on, it surprised me that something that is less than 3 by 4 inches would take around 7 hours to print.
